REFUGEE RESPONSE

Since the start of the refugee crisis in Lebanon, it has been our priority to care for those who have been displaced. Observing the needs present in the camps, it was obvious to us that the greatest need present was not only  physical, but also psychosocial. That is why our work with refugees is focused on meeting basic needs and equally providing relational care specific to every single child and family.

MADE CLEAN INITIATIVE

Loads of laundry, Loads of Love.

The Made Clean Initiative was designed to invest practically into the hearts and lives of Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon. Every day, our team arrives to the Bekaa region in two large vans equipped with a water tank, pump, generator and you guessed it, washing machines. We provide a free laundry service to the women and their families within the camps, who often don’t have the resources to be able to do it on their own. During the laundry service, we also provide the kids in the camps with a fun-filled and interactive program. Made Clean allows our team the opportunity to meet and connect with refugees, getting to know and build relationship with them in meaningful ways.

NOT ALONE

a SHORT FILM BASED ON ONE SYRIAN REFUGEE’S LIFE-CHANGING JOURNEY.

“لست وحيداً”(Not Alone) is a 23-minute Arabic short film created to bring a message of hope to Syrian refugee children, youth and adults who have all been affected by the largest humanitarian crisis of today. Shot on location in the Middle East, this film follows the story of a teenage boy, Khalil, who is faced with tragedy and trauma, but also the opportunity to transcend his struggles in a new land. The film is presented to children in refugee camps, and is immediately followed by small group based-discussion to reflect on what they watched. Khalil’s story represents the exceptional reality that millions of Syrians have endured, and also stands as a pivotal opportunity for healing.
